Failed to join !LqCdJTWuzCFDrHy-...: M_UNKNOWN (HTTP 500): non-create event for room of unknown version in !LqCdJTWuzCFDrHy-...

Get this when calling /join/{obj}, but only when obj is a v12 room ID. Aliases work as expected.
