Open issue to write (partial data) migration docs. It'll likely be a one-pager in the advanced section.

While it'll be written from the POV of a Synapse --> C10y migration, the docs should aim to be generic and provide actionable tools as to be a semi-official migration guide for Matrix in general.

I'm going to wipe and reinstall my own server soonish (so a c10y -> c10y migration). Hopefully I get some practical experience from this as well.

Convert Nexy's script to something that loops over a list of rooms: https://gist.github.com/nexy7574/cf2662c7912177650ebe7c74f3c68129
Maybe write a script to iterate over rooms and their vias and convert to matrix.to URLs
Determine room matrix and results (helper server with non-PL/PL, encrypted/unencrypted rooms, etc)
